The IRFU has officially confirmed the season structure for the 2025/26 Energia All-Ireland League (AIL) Men’s Divisions, following a series of consultations with participating clubs and ratification by the IRFU Rugby Committee.

Navan RFC’s Men’s 1st XV will compete in Division 2B for the upcoming season, they will be joined in Division 2B by; Buccaneers, Clogher Valley, Galwegians, Rainey, UL Bohemian, Malone, Sligo, Enniscorthy & Skerries.

The 2025/26 Energia AIL Men’s season will commence on the weekend of 27th September, featuring 18 rounds of regular fixtures followed by semi-finals and promotion/relegation play-offs on the weekend of 18th April. The Energia AIL Men's Final is scheduled for the following weekend (25th April) at the Aviva Stadium.

First introduced last season, the league will feature two designated ‘No Rugby Weekends’, offering a valuable mid-season break for players, coaches, and volunteers. The first of these breaks aligns with Ireland’s final Autumn Nations Series fixture against South Africa on Saturday, 22nd November.
These rest weekends are separate from the standard reserve dates in the competition calendar and aim to support player welfare and sustainability.

The full fixture list for the AIL Men’s Divisions will be announced later this summer.
