CAMOGIE
Well done to our U10s who had a great time in the Ferrybank GAA and Camogie Club blitz last weekend. They played games against Ferrybank, Roanmore and St Annes. The girls worked hard in every game with great skills on show. Thank you very much to Ferrybank for the invite and the thoroughly enjoyable and well organised morning of camogie.
Well done to our u12 girls and their mentors Charlene, Debbie & Dawn who had a great day out at Caman2Munster 2025 in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney. The girls were very alert with their singing first thing this morning so apologies to poor Gareth of C Travel Waterford Bus Hire and thank you for looking after us all day. We had a tour of the stadium had our team photos taken bought new jerseys and played games against Clooney Quinn of Clare, Charleville of Cork and Crecora of Limerick. Fantastic performances in the heat where all the girls worked hard, showcased their skills and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Well done to Lauren & Lexi who were in action with the Waterford u14 Blue squad in the Bernie Hoban Kilkenny Camogie Blitz. The girls had games against Wexford, Limerick and Kilkenny and came up just short against Kilkenny in the cup final. Great performances in the heat.
Our U16 Red Squad had a good 6-8 to 3-7 win over Butlerstown during the week, well done girls.

Well done to Liam Walsh who is this week’s hurler of the week in our beginners group. Liam only joined us in the last few months but he has shown huge improvement already and is really enjoying his hurling.
Well done to Adam Chren who is this week’s u7 hurler of the week. Adam loves his hurling, never misses training and always has a hurley in his hand. As a result of his commitment he is fast becoming a very skilful hurler and certainly one to watch out for in the future. Well done Adam
Well done to this week’s u8 Hurler of the Week Alfie Sage. Alfie has shown great commitment to training, loves his hurling and is always practicing at home. As a result he is fast becoming a very good hurler and one to watch out for in the future. Well done to our u8 hurlers who displayed great skills in their Butlerstown blitz during the week. Keep up the great work boys and coaches.
Hard luck to our Senior Hurlers as Roanmore took the last four points to steal victory by the narrowest of margins, 2-14 to 1-18. The green flags were raised by Jack Twomey and Sam Flynn on a very hard and dry pitch in Walsh Park. Next up is Abbeyside on Saturday 19/7/25 at 730pm in Fraher Field.
Hard Luck to our Junior B hurlers who went down to Mount Sion, same day. In Junior A Hurling, well done lads on a good 3-15 to 0-14 win over Clonea.
Our Minor Hurlers went down to Mount Sion mid-week but are out again Wednesday 16th July at 730pm away in Abbeyside.
