A Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) was emailed to all members on Friday 4 July. This meeting is being held on Tuesday 29 July in Cork Constitution RFC at 7pm sharp.
The 3 EGM Motions are as follows:
1: The members approve the sale of the Club’s lands at Avondale Park for €2.5 million
This motion is required to allow contracts to be issued to the Purchaser.
2: The Management Committee (as defined by the Club Constitution) shall have the Authority and Power to borrow by way of overdraft, term loan, mortgage or otherwise, for the purposes of any Capital Development for the benefit of Avondale United Football Club. All such borrowings are to be affected in the names of the Club Trustees at the time. The said Trustees shall have the power to buy, sell, lease, mortgage or pledge any club property as security for such borrowings.
This motion is required to allow the Management Committee to borrow for capital projects through the Club Trustees.
3: The members approve the adoption of a revised Club Constitution.
This is required to ensure that the Club has a Constitution to best meet the needs of a club which has grown significantly in size since the original constitution was drafted.
