Eadestown GAA are delighted to welcome the Dillon Quirke Foundation to our club. This foundation is set up in memory of Dillon Quirke who passed away aged 24 while hurling for his club in Tipperary.

In his memory, the Dillon Quirke Foundation is a registered charity working to raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) and fund widespread cardiac screening for young people (aged 12-18) involved in sport.

On average, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) takes 100 young lives in Ireland every year. Cardiac screening can help prevent SADS by identifying heart conditions at an early stage – before they cause symptoms.

We are inviting players between the ages of 12-18 for screening on the 26th August. Screening will take place between 9:30 - 5pm in Kilteel Hall.

We would really appreciate a contribution of €20 per player on the day for the cardiac screening. All money raised will go to the Dillon Quirke Foundation.

Bookings will go live Thursday 8am and it will be first come first serve basis. We have 45 spots to offer.

A link for bookings will be shared tomorrow morning on ClubZap news and our members WhatsApp group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our club & players
