Silvermines GAA Notes
U-21 A North Tipperary Hurling
Our U-21 hurlers recorded a last gasp 1-18 to 1-16 victory over Toomevara in Toomevara on Sunday. In what was an entertaining clash the home side trailed by 0-12 to 0-4 at the break but were back on terms early in the second half thanks to a 33rdminute goal. Silvermines battled hard throughout the second half with efforts from Sean Nolan, Ronan Cunneen and Daniel McKelvey keeping the Mines’ well in contention. Toomevara led by 1-16 to 0-17 as the 60-minute mark approached before a late Sean Nolan point coupled with a last-gasp goal deep in injury time ensured a two point victory for the Silvermines. Silvermines will now face either Borris-Ileigh or Nenagh Eire Og in the North semi-final.
Hallowe'en Walkathon
Well done and a huge thank you to all who fundraised and took part in the Hallowe’en Walkathon as part of the Silvermines goes to the Movies Fundraiser last week. Despite the inclement weather it proved a hugely successful event in Dolla as we continue to raise funds for our new sports hall in Dolla GAA Grounds.
Lotto
Our Lotto jackpot is now €3,900. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online through Clubzap.
