SENIOR FOOTBALL
A late surge from Clonmel Commercials saw them pull away from Upperchurch in the final few minutes and take the win in last weekends county semi final. Up to that point there had been little between the sides. Upperchurch started fastest, a 1st minute Ger Grant point being added to 3 minutes later by a Luke Shanahan free. Clonmel settled into the game and within a few minutes had added 1-2 of their own to pull in front. A brace of Paul Shanahan frees got Upperchurch back into the contest and the sides were level at half time. Scores continued to be difficult to come by upon the restart but it was Clonmel who got the first point to go back ahead. However, both Oisin Treacy & Luke Shanahan raised white flags of their own to give Upperchurch the advantage with 20 minutes gone in the half. This was to be the high watermark for Upperchurch though as Clonmel methodically notched 6 unanswered points to be firmly in charge as the game entered injury time. Upperchurch put up a brave battle but could not convert the possession into goals, a late Paul Shanahan point leaving 4 between the sides at the final whistle (1-9 to 0-8). Despite the result it is still good progress for the club to make it back to the final four once again. Thanks to players & management for their hard work throughout the year.
PREMIER INTERMEDIATE HURLING
After climbing the mountain in Tipperary we are now into a Munster intermediate campaign and will play Cork's Ballinhassig in the semi final. The tie takes place on Sunday November 16th at 1:15pm in Semple Stadium.
CLUB AGM
Our AGM will take place on Sat November 29th at 8pm in the Clubhouse. All are welcome to come along.
NEW FIELD BENEFACTOR SCHEME
A final call for anyone who wishes to join our benefactor scheme to do so quickly as we will be closing it for entries shortly. We would like to thank all who have signed up so far. There has been a huge amount of development work done over the past few years and more is planned to provide the best facilities for the community. All who have registered and become patrons of this scheme have been a massive part in making this happen. We are currently putting final plans for the commemorative plaque which will display names of all the patrons to the scheme. There is still a small window to sign up if you haven't done so already and get your name on the wall by checking the link here or by contacting a committee member ASAP.

You can now play the Premier Co-Op Lotto online at http://upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/draws and help support Upperchurch Drombane Juvenile GAA. Last week there was no winner of the €15,200 jackpot. There were 2 match 3 winners who receive €75 each. The jackpot for next week now resets to €15,400 for next week's draw. Tickets must be bought by 8pm on Tuesday to be in the draw. You can also buy tickets at Ryan's Shop, Drombane Co-Op, Kinane's Pub or Oliver Ryan's Pub.
