This Sunday our Senior Hurlers will be hoping to make a piece of club history when they face Davidstown Courtnacuddy of Wexford in the Leinster Junior Hurling Championship FINAL at Manguard Park, Hawkfield (throw-in at 1.30pm). It will be only the clubs third ever Leinster Final and our lads will be hoping it's third time lucky as we lost out on the previous two occasions; our Senior Footballers in 1997 and our Ladies Footballers in 2014. It is also the first time a Kildare club has reached the Leinster Junior Hurling Final, so it's an opportunity to make history at club and county level.

They will face a stiff challenge against a very strong opponent in Davidstown Courtnacuddy who have impressed on their way to the final, overcoming St. Brigids of Westmeath in the quarter-final and Kilkenny champions Barrow Rangers in the semi-final. Clane however will not be short of confidence having put in two very strong performances of their own away to Naomh Moninne of Louth (match report) before beating Clonad of Laois (match report) in front of a large and vociferous home crowd in Hawkfield racking up 2-24 and 2-22 respectively in those fixtures.

We're calling on all club members and supporters to come out and support the team and management and turn Hawkfield into a sea of white on Sunday.
