Overview
The Executive Committee of Eadestown GAA Club would like to remind all members that all club playing gear, leisure wear, and merchandise must be purchased solely from vendors approved by the club. The Committee is dedicated to maintaining consistency in the colour schemes across all club playing gear, leisure wear, and official merchandise. Therefore, only suppliers sanctioned by the club, as outlined in this policy, may provide playing gear and leisure wear. No member, nor anyone acting on behalf of a member, is permitted to source, order, purchase, or sell Eadestown GAA Club branded gear from any unauthorised third-party supplier. This policy ensures the standardisation and preservation of our One Club identity. Any violations will be addressed by the Executive Committee. The club appreciates your cooperation and continued support, which are vital for upholding the integrity and identity of Eadestown GAA Club.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish a consistent and professional method for sourcing and using training and playing gear for all Eadestown GAA teams. This approach helps to maintain the club’s identity and ensures that club colours are represented accurately.
Club Colours
The official club colours are as follows:
- Jersey: Sky Blue
- Shorts: Navy
- Socks: Navy
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All club teams, including juvenile, adult, male, and female squads
- Coaches, managers, and players
- Any official club merchandise or gear used for training and matches
Approved Suppliers
The following suppliers are approved for ordering all playing, training, and official club gear:
- O’Neills Sports
- McKeever Sports
- MFC Sports
Gear Coordinator Role and Procedures
The Gear Coordinator is responsible for organising and ordering all club gear. This role involves overseeing relationships with approved suppliers, ensuring effective communication, and negotiating discounts to benefit the club.
Any commission or incentive offered to a gear coordinator by a supplier must be converted to a club discount on gear. Under no circumstances may commissions or incentives be accepted personally from any supplier.
All gear coordinators are required to go through the Club Player Liaison Officer when placing orders. This procedure ensures that all gear meets the established guidelines outlined in this document.
Mandatory Supplier Policy
In certain cases, the following club officers may mandate that all gear for their respective sections be ordered from one supplier only:
- Juvenile Section: Juvenile Chairperson
- Ladies Section: Ladies Chairperson
- Men's Section: Club Chairperson
Playing Gear
- Jerseys must be sky blue in colour.
- Shorts must be navy and may feature three blue stripes down the side.
- Socks must be navy and can have three blue stripes at the top.
Training Gear
- Training gear must be predominantly club blue, club navy, or black.
- All club gear must display the club crest.
Logo and Branding
- The club crest must be shown on all official gear in accordance with GAA guidelines.
- Sponsor logos must be approved by the club executive and comply with GAA rules.
- No unauthorised branding is permitted on any club gear.
Compliance
- Coaches and managers are responsible for ensuring adherence to this policy.
- Gear that does not comply with this policy is not permitted for training or matches.
Review
This policy may be reviewed after 3 years by the club executive.
