Oranmore Maree GAA One Club extends our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to the McDonagh family (Headford) and to the O’Rourke family (Gurrane, Maree) on the sad and untimely passing of Alan McDonagh.

Alan’s mother, Nora has been a hugely valued member of our camogie club over many years, proudly representing the club at both juvenile and adult level, and making her mark as a camogie (and hurling) legend with Maree National School. Alan's uncle Michael O’Rourke, his aunts Deirdre Brennan, Maura Maguire (Gurrane), Ann Marie McMahon (Clare) and Catriona Burke (Belclare) and his ‘Maree cousins’ all share a deep and long-standing connection with our club.

Alan was a remarkable young man whose warm smile could light up any room he entered, he will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

We extend our sincere condolences to his heartbroken family, to his parents Nora & Frank, his siblings Darragh and Shauna, his girlfriend Abbey; and to the extended McDonagh and O’Rourke families at this very difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
