U15 Academy Championship 2026

The Bridge will have 3 teams taking part in the U15 Championship in 2026
the dates for the 2 Academy teams are listed below

U 15 Academy Structures for 2026

U 15 Academy games can be 12 or 13 –a-side if required.

Academy Dates > Rd 1 Apr 6th, Rd 2 May 3rd, Rd 3 May 7th, Semi-finals May 17th & the Finals on June 1st.
Championship Rules to determine league places
The aim is to avoid using score difference at this level.
- Where two teams are tied on points:
- Head-to-head rule will determine finishing position (and can result in a team being eliminated from a competition)
- Where head-to-head fails to separate the teams (they drew in their game).
- If the two teams are progressing in the competition, a draw will take place to determine their position

 

U 15 Academy A
4 Teams > Ballyea (2), Corofin Ruan (2), Doora Barefield (2) & Sixmilebridge (2)
3 Rds > Rd 1 Apr 6th, Rd 2 May 3rd & Rd 3 May 7th. Semi-finals May 17th Final June 1st
Then semi-finals 1 v 4 & 2 v 3 > 2 ( Team 1 & Team 2 both at Home venue)  Winners to Final with Toss for Venue between the clubs involved
Shield Final for the semi-final losers. Toss for venue between the clubs involved.

U 15 Academy C
8 Teams > 2 Groups of 4 > 3 Rds > Rd 1 Apr 6th, Rd 2 May 3rd & Rd 3 May 7th. Semi-finals May 17th Final June 1st
Group 1 > Broadford Bodyke, O C Mills, Scariff Ogonnelloe & Whitegate
Group 2 > Doora Barefield 2, Kilrush Shamrocks, Sixmilebridge (3) & Wolfe Tones

Crossover semi-finals > 1 v 2 & 2 v 1 (both 1st teams at home)
Final > toss for venue between the clubs involved

Shield for the 3rd & 4th placed teams
Crossover semi-finals > 3 v 4 & 4 v 3 (both 3rd teams at home venue)
Shield Final > toss for venue between the clubs.
