Result : Miltown 2-14 Doonbeg 1-13
Our Junior B side made it two wins on the bounce in this years Division 5 league with victory away to Doonbeg on Saturday. Miltown played well in the first half and put the home defence under considerable pressure. The in form Conor Neylon provided much of the Miltowns scores amassing 0-3 in the first half with further points coming from Podge Deveraux, Gearoid Burke and Ronan Keavey to give Miltown a three point lead at half time on a scoreline of 1-06 to 0-6 with Conal Meade finding the back of the Doonbeg net,
Doonbeg began the second half well and three early points brought them level before a great two point effort from Cillian Keavey after seven minutes. reestablished a Miltown lead. Further point from Diarmaid O'Sullivan (2) and Podge Deveraux pushed Miltown five ahead after fourteen minutes. Doonbeg fought their way back into the game with two points and a goal from a penalty and took the lead in the twenty second minute with a point , however Miltown refused to rollover and points from Conal Meade & Conor Neylon left Miltown in the lead as full time approached. Conor Neylon rounded off a good afternoons work with Miltown's second goal in the thirty second minute and despite the home side knocking over the final point of the game Miltown ran out winners 2-14 to 1-13
