Division 10 League Semi Final
Mon 22nd June 2026

Sixmilebridge 1-19
Ballyea 2-12

Venue - O'Garney Park
Referee - Kieran O'Halloran

Our Junior C team played Ballyea last night in the Division 10 League semi final. Played in very hot temperatures there were much needed water breaks througout the game. Ballyea started the game very strong and had much of the play but as the half progressed the Bridge eased into things and at half time led on a score line of 0-8 to Ballyeas 0-6.

The second half saw Ballyea always keep within touching distance and coming towards the end of the game they were was 1 score between the teams as the Bridge lead by a goal but Michael O'Halloran with two superb long range efforts from midfield put the extra score between the teams despite Ballyeas best efforts at scoring a goal. Ballyea did hit the upright and Sam Edbrooke and the full back line were busy in the final few minutes as Francie Reilly led the Ballyea charge.

It was a good team display by all and great contributions made by Brian Nails Casey when introduced scoring 1-1 as well as Micahel O'Halloran Donald Devanney each scoring 4 ponts from play with some real long range efforts included. Tommy Liddy did well on frees on the day also. Well done to the younger lads also on this group who have given a new lease of life to the team! Ballyea had in their ranks Barry Coffey who regularly trains in the Arena with the Togging Out group. These teams met earlier in the league with Ballyea coming out on top that time and they may meet again in the Junior C championship later in the year.

The Junior Cs have now reached the Division 10 League Final and will face table toppers Inagh Kilnamona who will have St Finnachtas National School teacher Milo Keane in the side. Currently the match is fixed for Friday July 3rd in Clarecastle.
