The club is delighted to announce that the Premier Junior B1 Team Captain and Vice Captain for 2026 have been selected by Jamesie Hasset, Junior B1 manager and his backroom team.

This years captain leading the team for the Premier Junior B1 Campaign is Sean Lynch. Sean has joined the Junior B1 Panel this year after playing many years with our Intermediate team. A strong scoring forward Sean is also very capable on the frees and his experience will be a great asset to the Junir Bs. Sean is currently the head coach with the U13 Hurlers who he led to the semi final of the A Championship last week, with the Academy A & C teams in finals action this weekend. Sean is also heavily involved in schools hurling as he is the 6th class teacher in St. Finnachtas.

Danny Dunne has been named in the Vice Captains role and conviniently Danny plays at the opposite end of the field in the full back line ensuring good leadership at both ends of the field. Danny a recently qualified plumber has really come into his own in recent years having played Junior A and Junior B hurling. The tall hurler from the mountain can be a lot to handle wherever he plays on the pitch.

The club wishes Sean & Danny all the best for upcoming campaign.
