🏐πŸ₯Ž On the pitch

Another busy week !

On Sunday , our U7 hurler and U9 hurlers both hosted Naas in their Go Games, super skills on show πŸ”₯

Our Reserve Hurling team took to the field on Monday evening in Donore for their semi final v Γ‰ire Γ“g Corra Choill. A tough game for the team but some great scores and effort from everyone. πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ’›

Our Minor St Edwards team played St Kevins on Wednesday in a cracking game. The team fought hard to come back after trailing at half time by 12 points , and St Kevins just held on to win 4-10 to 4-8.

On Wednesday, our U12 camogs begin their Autumn Go Games welcoming Clane to Ardclough. A super team effort from all the girls against a strong Clane team.

And a tough night against St Laurence's for our U16 camogs who had a battle against a strong side. We go again !

And last night our Junior Foorballers finished their Championship campaign with a loss to Kill in Manguard.

 LIAM HOGAN CUP 2026

The Liam Hogan Cup took place last Saturday, and while the weather wasn't great , the hurling was super !  We had over 120 young hurlers take part on the day, including 2 Ardclough teams.

Ardclough, Faughs, Naomh Eoin and Setanta battled it out for the Hogan shield. There was nothing to separate Faughs and Naomh Eoin at full time in the shield final. The match went to extra time, where Faughs just got over the line thanks to 2 late points and some brilliant defending.

Over in the cup competition, St Mullans, Burgess and Scariff/Ogonnelloe all played competitive matches. The cup final was contested by Ardclough and Scariff/Ogonnelloe.  Ardclough retained the Cup on the day, but only after having to battle right until the end against the great team from Clare.πŸ†

Thanks to Faughs, Setanta, Naomh Eoin, St Mullins, Burgess and Scariff/Ogonnelloe for taking part in our tournament.  All the games were played in great spirit and the players and coaches were a credit to their clubs.

Many thanks to Michael and the Hogan family for all their support and help with running the tournament. Thanks also to all the volunteers on the day, from the lads keeping track of scores, to the umpires, to those who helped set up beforehand and tidy up afterwards.  Thanks to all the parents who dropped food into the club for the visiting parents, coaches and players. Everyone was well-fed on the day thanks to your generosity.

Special shout out to Aoileann, Tara, Sadhbh, Sorcha, Dee, Marion, Luan, Linda, May, Aoife, Orla, Val and Marie who kept all the visiting teams fed and watered throughout the day! And to Dave Houston for the sound system 🎀
