The HSE Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons is hosting Age Strong, Live Long at the Raheen Woods Hotel, Athenry, H65 E443 on Thursday 1 October 2026, marking International Day of the Older Person. The event is free and open to anyone aged 55 and over, along with family and friends.

Doors open at 10am and the day runs to 4pm. On the day there will be:

  • Information stalls on health, wellbeing, support services, assistive technology and community resources
  • Workshops and educational talks from 10am, including falls prevention and pelvic health classes
  • Talks covering what matters to you, mind and mental wellbeing, medications and mobility
  • Memory and brain health supports
  • A round table discussion and expert panel from 1.20pm, with tea and coffee provided
  • Flu and Covid vaccinations available on the day
You must register before attending. Booking is free but places are limited. Posters and agenda attached.
