Congratulations to our u13 Hurlers who won the the County final last Bank Holiday Monday against Tooreen in a very cold Claremorris, in a match dominated by the wind Castlebar played with it in the first half and went in at Half time 1-8 to no score thanks to some fine scores especially from Joe O Donnell and Aidan Cunningham. Tooreen got a goal straight after half time but from then on the Castlebar defense was resolute to the final whistle and conceded no more scores. Jimmy Connor Hurling Board Chairman was on hand to present Aidan Cunningham Captain of the Castlebar team with the County Final Shield. Well done to the management and team for all the hard work put in over the year and our best wishes also to a gallant Tooreen team who fought hard to end. The day was finished off with Food in Supermacs in Castlebar .
