Conor's Comeback ..
The most notable feature of the Junior championship match v St Loman's from the Shamrock's and international perspective was the return of Conor Moore to championship action. The star of Conor's Sketches, the man who has conquered America, something countless entertainers have tried and spectacularly failed to achieve, showed flashes of his former football greatness. There was a neat pointed free with the left foot, one fine piece of fielding that ended with a good block by the St Loman's corner back and a lot of good running off the ball but after 18 months on the international entertainment circuit the necessary standard of fitness was lacking which made the going ' tough, really tough'. Overall a reasonably good impersonation of a decent corner-forward if not of the standard of the Tiger Woods, Ian Poulter, David Attenborough etc attempts.
