U-21 Hurling: Our U-21's were narrowly defeated recently by Gortnahoe in the Mid B championship final. This unfortunately ends their interest in this years championship. We thank all the players and management for their commitment and dedication in 2019.
Juvenile Medal Presentations: The annual juvenile medal presentation night was held in Drom hall on Sunday evening where all the winning teams in the juvenile club collected their medals for 2019 along with the successful juvenile teams in the camogie club. Well done to all who organised and helped run the event.
Adjourned AGM: The adjourned AGM has been booked in to go ahead in the clubhouse on January 10th at 8pm.
Junior Hurling: Our juniors will play Garryspillane of Limerick in the Munster Junior B Club final in Killeedy on January 11th. Throw in is expected to be 2pm.
Club Celebratory Night: Drom & Inch GAA Club and Drom & Inch Camogie Club together will have a celebratory night on February 22nd in Younge's The Ragg in honor of the victorious teams of 2019. Tickets will be available in the coming weeks.
Memorial Tournament: There will be a hurling memorial tournament in honor of the late Donal Younge and Paddy Kennedy on December 27th. Two club stalwarts that sadly passed away in recent years. All proceeds generated from this event will go to the North Tipp Hospice / Suir Haven Support Centre and also to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit in Nenagh Hospital. The event will begin on the Inch Loop Walk at 12pm followed by a hurling match featuring current and past hurlers as well as camogie players at 1pm in The Ragg grounds. There will be live music and food that night in The Ragg, all are welcome. We urge as many people as possible to get involved and contribute in some way. T shirts are currently on sale from behind the bar in The Ragg to help raise funds.
Mid Club of the Year: We are delighted to announce that Drom & Inch has been named Mid Tipperary Senior Club of the Year for 2019. We done to all on our executive committee, club committee members, team management, coaches, all our players and to everyone who helped in achieving this distinction. Also a special word of congratulations has to go to John Campion for being Mid Tipp Young Hurler of the Year for 2019. John was a member of the victorious Drom & Inch minor team that won the county A title this year and also was a stand out performer for the Tipperary minor hurlers, who he led as captain.
