The U12s played their first away games of the season with a trip to Kilmaley last Saturday morning. On what was probably the best day of the year so far, we had 28 players make the trip allowing us to field 2 teams with proceedings getting underway at 10:30.

Team 1 got off to a winning start with Dylan McInerney, Stephen Gavin and Jack McNamara among the scorers. Their second game as a tighter affair where they edged out their opponents on a scoreline of 4 points to 3, Zak Phelan accounting for all our points. Team 1 also had strong displays over both games from Cian McInerney and Cillian O'Connor.

Team 2 had a narrow defeat in their first game and won their second game. Dylan Keogh played a captains role with a great display, with Jack O'Halloran and Tommy Healy also impressing. Scorers for Team 2 over the games were Rory Chaplin and Conor Keogh with Donal O'Leary and Conor Gleesson bagging two goals each.

An ongoing theme of our recent U12 games has been a failure to take a photo of all teams playing and Kilmaley last Saturday was no exception! Photo below is of Sixmilebridge 1, captained by Stephen Gavin (front row, left).

Thanks to Kilmaley for hosting us and we hope to repay the compliment in the coming weeks.
