The u13s were in action again last week with the Academy team taking a trip to Clooney to play their Clooney Quin counterparts and the A team hosting Inagh Kilnamona.
U13 Academy v Clooney Quin - Thursday 16 June
Our Academy team - captained in this round by Evan Madigan - turned in a strong opening 15 minutes which proved to be the foundation of a good win on their championship opener. First half scores by Noely Duggan, Neil Og McGiollaCearra and Oisin Raffery settled the team with Larry Howard, Derek McCauley and Colm McManus adding to the tally in the second half.
Overall a very good team performance with notable contributions also from Tadhg Reddin, Aidan Cunniffe, Eoin White and Rafael Liddy.
U13 A v Inagh Kilnamona - Sunday 19 June
Coming off their strong performance last week, the A team were hoping to bring that form into round 3 of the U13 Championship when they hosted Inagh Kilnamona on Sunday morning.
The boys - captained by Cathal Ryan - started well and had 2 goals on the board within the first 5 minutes courtesy of Conor Keogh and Dougie Brew. Inagh Kilnamona dragged themselves back into the match and a very entertaining first half concluded with the visitors ahead by 3 points. Unfortunately the visitors dominated the second half and ran our 5-13 to 4-6 winners. Notable performances in this game included Cian Mullins and Colm McManus.
Next up for the U13 Squad is an Academy game v Inagh Kilnamona on Wednesday evening.
