Navan Women’s 2nd XV renewed their fierce rivalry with Tipperary side Roscrea in a tightly contested Paul Cusack Plate 1st Round encounter. Despite a brave performance, the visitors edged out Navan with three tries to two, claiming a narrow 17-10 victory at Balreask Old.

While the result wasn’t in their favour, the Navan squad can hold their heads high. They’ve had an incredible season, finishing as back-to-back League Champions and earning promotion to Division 3, a massive achievement for this growing team.

Best for Navan was Tara Quinn, a standout at blindside flanker, Quinn delivered a commanding performance in defence and at the breakdown.
