As the Two Ronnies used to end by saying "Now that's all we have time for this evening, its a goodnight from me, & its a good night from him".

Ok, im probably showing my age a bit but you get my drift.

Yesterday we finished up yet another fabulous season at Claremont Road and on the Back Pitch with an action packed day.  At Claremont we had all the minis down for their end of season fun day, face painting, bouncy castle and Leinster & Ireland hooker Dan Sheehan came along to say hi and present their well earned medals.

Even our own beloved Big Joseph got in on the action to meet his hero.

The combined Under14s (Lansdowne and Bective Rangers popped down for a fun session with the parents.  They are going again next season which is really exciting.  Best of luck to them in their Portugal tour in a couple of weeks.

The 16s and 17s had a BBQ in the afternoon and despite the 17s tough loss earlier in the day to Clontarf in the Metro Cup final, the boys all came down with their coaches and enjoyed the sunshine.  Thanks to everybody who came up to Donnybrook to cheer them on.  Very much appreciated.  Well done to 'Tarf on a fine win.

On the back pitch, Conor Gahan's under 12s entertained Clondalkin RFC in a fun friendly.  This is their last match as Minis as they graduate next season to the 15 man full pitch game as Leinster Youths.  We wish them every success next season.  I am absolutely confident we'll see a lot of them wearing either the Leinster Blue or the Ireland Green in the future.

Many many thanks to ALL of our volunteers for making the season such a success.  It doesn't happen without you.  Well done & enjoy the break.

Registrations for the new 25/26 season will open in July.  Please keep an eye out for notifications.  New members can email registrations@lansdownerugby.com.  All welcome.  Bring a friend.  Next season will be even more action packed.

I stand down now as head of Minis & Youths.  I'd like to thank every single person who i met during my tenure & made this role a joy and a complete privilege.  Thanks to all the club staff led by Elayne and before her Michael Diskin for all the invaluable support.  Ultimately though, I would like to thank the kids.  I've seen many of them grow from tots to young men and women.  They are a true credit to their club, their community and their families.

Mark Quinn takes over next season and i wish him every success in the role.

Goodnight
Brian
