Despite a 5 point loss our Seniors still qualified for the knockout stages of the Clare Cup on Saturday evening at the newly laid pitch in Kilnamona. Aidan McCarthy was the top scorer for the home side with 14 points in a game impacted by rain and wind.
Despite the wind advantage we hit nine wides compared to just two from the home side, resulting in a 1-11 to 1-10 advantage for Inagh Kilnamona at the short whistle. Alex Morey was our goal scorer in the first half while substiturte Adam Murray scored our second goal.
Crusheen, Sixmilebridge, Clonlara, Newmarket-On-Fergus, Doora Barefield, Kilmaley, O’Callaghan’s Mills and Inagh-Kilnamona are all qualified for the knockout stages of the Clare Cup.
