Sixmilebridge U12 Camogie enjoyed a fantastic day out on Saturday, August 1, as the group travelled by bus to the magnificent Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork to participate in the Caman Munster blitz. It was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to play in one of Ireland's premier sporting venues, and everyone was delighted to receive the invitation to such a well-organised event.
Throughout the day, Sixmilebridge faced strong opposition from Tracton and Youghal of Cork, along with Ballyduff Upper from Waterford. All three games were highly competitive, giving the girls an excellent opportunity to test their skills against quality opposition from across Munster. The players represented the club with great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, performing exceptionally well in each game. Their hard work, commitment and positive attitude were evident throughout the day, making everyone associated with the club extremely proud.
A sincere thank you to the Caman Munster organisers for hosting such a fantastic event and providing the girls with the opportunity to play in such an outstanding venue. The day was superbly organised and was a memorable experience for all involved.
Travelling together by bus added to the excitement of the occasion and created a great sense of team spirit. On the journey home, the group stopped for food and treats before continuing back to Sixmilebridge. The bus was filled with singing, laughter and plenty of fun, creating memories that the girls will cherish for years to come.
A sincere thank you goes to Sixmilebridge Camogie Club for generously sponsoring the food and treats, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all after a busy day of camogie. The support of the club is greatly appreciated and helps create special experiences for our young players.
A special word of thanks also goes to the dedicated coaches who travelled with the team and who continue to give so generously of their free time throughout the year for the benefit and development of the girls. The coaches continued commitment, encouragement and enthusiasm are invaluable and play a huge role in the continued progress of the team.
Finally, thank you to all the parents for allowing the girls to travel, for their continued support throughout the day, and for always encouraging the team. It was a brilliant occasion filled with great matches, friendship, fun and lasting memories for everyone involved.
