Simonstown Gaels is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Brian Melville, The Limes, Beaufort Place, Navan, formerly Maudlin Road, Kells and Donaghmore Lane.
Brian’s connection to our club was strong and heartfelt. His sons Trevor and Shane both played underage football with Simonstown, and Trevor was the goalkeeper on our 1995 Minor Championship‑winning team — a team that holds a special place in our club’s history. We remember those days fondly as we think of the Melville family at this difficult time.
Brian will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Trevor and Shane, grandchildren Cian, Sinéad, Eva, Cara, Danny and Finn, daughters‑in‑law Ciara and Karen, brother Paul, extended family, relatives and friends.
We extend our deepest sympathies to all who mourn Brian’s loss.
