Congratulations to our stalwart clubman John Reidy who received a Clare Older People's Volunteer of the Year award in Ennis yesterday.
John has served at every level from Chairman down over the last 60 years including team management, coaching and playing and is still a highly valued member of the club executive.

He was a key figure in the club purchasing Hennessy Memorial Park and the construction of a new state of the art pitch considered one of the finest in the county.

He served as Chairman of the committee tasked with design and construction of a new 1200 seated stand and dressing rooms which was mainly funded through local fundraising.

John has also written two books detailing the history of St. Josephs Miltown GAA.

John has also been active at county, Provincial and National level serving on the Munster Council for 12 years, the CCCC of the GAA Central Council for 3 years and is currently serving on the Clare County Board hearings and Appeals Committee.
