Covid-19 Update:
We have decided to close our club grounds due to Covid-19. This is done for the benefit of the public. We urge everybody to stay healthy, limit social interactions and mind yourself. As Taoiseach Leo Varadkar exclaimed “Let it be said that when things were at their worst, we were at our best”. We can make a real difference here, please follow all HSE guidelines.
Trick shot Challenge:
As the lockdown goes on we are all experiencing a little bit of cabin fever and are desperate for sport to return in some shape or another in the coming weeks. To give us some entertainment, we encourage all Kids, adults, supporters, anyone to take part in sending us your best skills and trick shots. Also feel free to nominate others from the club to take part.
Community Helpline:
A dedicated community support helpline (Freephone 1800 805 816) has been established by Westmeath County Council to assist at-risk members of the public in accessing non-emergency and non-medical supports and advice during the current public health emergency. The confidential phone line service is being established by the new COVID-19 Westmeath Community Response Forum, which includes over a dozen agencies and organisations. The helpline is focused primarily on ensuring that vulnerable members of the community or those living alone can access deliveries of groceries, medicine and fuels.
