St Loman’s GAA Club Notes 20/04/2020
Covid-19 Update:
We have decided to close our club grounds due to Covid-19. This is done for the benefit of the public. We urge everybody to stay healthy, limit social interactions and mind yourself. As Taoiseach Leo Varadkar exclaimed “Let it be said that when things were at their worst, we were at our best”. We can make a real difference here, please follow all HSE guidelines.
Community Helpline:
A dedicated community support helpline (Freephone 1800 805 816) has been established by Westmeath County Council to assist at-risk members of the public in accessing non-emergency and non-medical supports and advice during the current public health emergency. The confidential phone line service is being established by the new COVID-19 Westmeath Community Response Forum, which includes over a dozen agencies and organisations. The helpline is focused primarily on ensuring that vulnerable members of the community or those living alone can access deliveries of groceries, medicine and fuels.

Also thanks as always to club stalwart Olly Gallagher who continues to provide us with terrific content with highlights of some of our historical matches. This is a challenging time for all of us not just in terms of our health which is the number one priority. It’s also a difficult time financially for many people including businesses. We at St Lomans our encouraging all to give back for all the support we’ve received in the past!
