Social Media Fundraiser:

St. Lomans GAA club members would like to raise funds for the residents of our local nursing home. Our aim is to provide each resident with an individual gift pack to let them know we are thinking of them during this difficult time. We are aware that visiting is not allowed at the moment and therefore we are hoping this small gesture will be something that will help cheer them up. Help us to do this by donating to this worthy cause. Link can be found on Facebook, Twitter and also in our Instagram Bio. Fair play to Julie McLaughlin and Rita Blundell for raising money for a very worthy cause

Covid-19 Update:

We have decided to close our club grounds due to Covid-19. This is done for the benefit of the public. We urge everybody to stay healthy, limit social interactions and mind yourself. As Taoiseach Leo Varadkar exclaimed “Let it be said that when things were at their worst, we were at our best”. We can make a real difference here, please follow all HSE guidelines.

Community Helpline:

A dedicated community support helpline (Freephone 1800 805 816) has been established by Westmeath County Council to assist at-risk members of the public in accessing non-emergency and non-medical supports and advice during the current public health emergency. The confidential phone line service is being established by the new COVID-19 Westmeath Community Response Forum, which includes over a dozen agencies and organisations. The helpline is focused primarily on ensuring that vulnerable members of the community or those living alone can access deliveries of groceries, medicine and fuels.

Anybody who wishes to volunteer please contact Pat McCartan +353 (86) 773 2171, Declan Cox +353 (86) 380 5581 or private message our social media profile.

Forms can be downloaded from the link below, link is also available in our Instagram bio.
