Clare Cup Preliminary Round
Bridge United A v Bunratty/Cratloe
Sunday February 27th
Sixmilebridge
11am

Mark Culbert's charges look to make it 4 wins on the bounce as they welcome Bunratty/Cratloe in the Preliminary Round of the Clare Cup.

When the draw was made a number of weeks ago, many pundits predicted a routine victory for the Bridge. Culberts side are fully aware that this is the proverbial banana skin.

Bunratty/Cratloe fresh off the back of wrapping up the Third Division title, littered with players all well capable of aquitting themselves at Premier level, not to mention the neighbouring derby element, this is anything other than a foregone conclusion.

Bridge themselves have found some form of late, January additions in the form of Enda Boyce and the returning Liam Buckley and Adam Fitzpatrick from Treaty Utd have bolstered the Bridges options and seen them fly up the league table.

They'll be looking to the leadership and experience of Alan Mulready, Jonathan Downes and Dan Larkin, the inform Brian Corry and the exciting Leon Daly to ensure they progress to Round One proper.

This one kicks off at 11am with Paudie Hayes the man in the middle. Make sure not to miss it, this has the makings of a cracking cup tie.
