Our under 14A's were involved in a tough match today away to Arklow United. Arklow started strong and applied pressure from the very beginning and found the net after ten minutes with a good shot from outside the box. Rovers took a little while to regroup and when they did Wolsey Sloan Kelly drew them level a few minutes after with a great solo run and finish. Confidence grew and before half time Rovers scored what proved to be the winning goal with Giorgio Morgillo-Fidyk who lobbed the keeper after a great counter attack play. The second half was a fair even battle with both teams playing well, Rovers had two great chances with Tom Donnellan and Nj Sinnot but the Arklow keeper made two excellent saves. Wicklow defended well and were able to bring a tough victory at home.
