Clonmel Celtic were given a scare on Saturday night as they had to rely on penalties to get past second division side Cahir Park B to advance to Round 3 of the Tipperary Cup. A Kyle Cuddy goal had Celtic 1-0 up at the break. Cahir turned the game on it's head in the second period and hit back to edge 2-1 ahead. Niall Prendergast spared Celtic's blushes with an equaliser that took the game to extra time and then penalties. Celtic prevailed 5-4 in the shoot out with Kyle Cuddy, Kevin Hawkins, Ewan Rumble, Kyle Ryan and Shane Garland all successful with their spot kicks. It wasn't pretty but the it's all about being the hat for the 3rd round draw.
