Nicks 1-5 v gaels 1-10
Ht 0-1 v 1-7

Cuchulainn Gaels earned their revenge following a last minute defeat in omeath two weeks ago by cruising to a five point win in Jimmy Pentony park on Monday evening. The visitors dominated the first half and the Nicks forward line were unable to register anything from play, a Phillip Kirwan free was all the home side could show for their first half efforts.

The nicks were a little better in the second half but the damage was already done. Points by Nathan Murray, vinny o’hare and a Kirwan free early in the half gave a brief glimpse of a comeback. A Kirwan goal from the penalty spot following good work from Sam Reilly had them back to within four but two late frees for the Gaels confirmed a deserved win.
